At Michael Kontraros Collectibles, every miniature begins as an original work of art. Our models are digitally and/or traditionally sculpted by our team or in collaboration with artists who have granted us the necessary rights to manufacture and distribute their work.

We invest significant time, skill, and resources into designing, sculpting, producing, photographing, and promoting our products. We ask our customers and members of the hobby community to respect that work.

Ownership of Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all intellectual property rights relating to our products and website are owned by or exclusively licensed to Michael Kontraros Collectibles.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Miniature designs
  • Digital sculpts
  • Physical sculptures
  • Concept artwork
  • Product names
  • Logos and branding
  • Product photography
  • Website content
  • Packaging design
  • Instruction sheets
  • Written descriptions
  • Marketing materials

Purchasing a physical miniature transfers ownership of that physical item only. No copyright, design right, trademark, or other intellectual property rights are transferred to the purchaser.

Copyright Notice: All miniature designs are original copyrighted works of Michael Kontraros Collectibles and/or its collaborating artists. Purchase of a physical miniature does not grant permission to reproduce, recast, scan, digitize, or commercially exploit the design.

Permitted Personal Use

We encourage customers to enjoy our miniatures as part of the hobby.

You may:

  • Assemble and paint your purchased miniatures.
  • Display them publicly or privately.
  • Use them in tabletop games.
  • Share photographs or videos of your painted miniatures on social media.
  • Enter painting competitions using legitimately purchased products.
  • Sell your original painted miniatures on the secondary market, provided they are genuine products purchased from us or our authorized retailers.

Prohibited Uses

Without our prior written permission, you may not:

  • Recast, mold, or reproduce any of our products.
  • Create silicone molds from our miniatures.
  • Manufacture copies in resin, metal, plastic, or any other material.
  • Create or distribute derivative digital models intended to reproduce our products.
  • Sell casts, copies, reproductions, or modified reproductions of our designs.
  • Use our products as the basis for commercial mass production.
  • Remove or alter any branding or copyright notices where applicable.

Unauthorized reproduction of our products may constitute copyright infringement and may result in legal action.

3D Scanning & Digital Reproduction

Our miniatures may not be:

  • 3D scanned;
  • Photogrammetrically captured;
  • Reverse engineered;
  • Converted into digital files;
  • Shared as digital models;
  • Uploaded to digital model repositories;
  • Distributed as STL, OBJ, or similar files.

This prohibition applies whether the scan is complete or partial and whether it is intended for personal or commercial use.

Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning

Our artwork, product photographs, miniature designs, digital sculpts, and other original creative works may not be used without our prior written permission for:

  • AI model training;
  • Machine learning datasets;
  • Image generation datasets;
  • Dataset scraping;
  • Automated content generation;
  • Any system intended to reproduce or imitate our artistic style or products.

This prohibition applies regardless of whether the resulting model is commercial, non-commercial, open-source, or privately developed.

Commercial Painting Services

Professional painters, commission painters, content creators, and hobby studios are welcome to paint our genuine products for clients or for demonstration purposes.

You may advertise your painting services using photographs of our miniatures provided that:

  • the models are genuine products;
  • our trademarks are not used in a misleading manner;
  • you do not claim ownership of the sculpt or design.

Fan Content

We appreciate members of the hobby community sharing their work.

You are welcome to:

  • Post photographs of your painted miniatures;
  • Publish battle reports featuring our products;
  • Create painting tutorials;
  • Upload unboxing and review videos;
  • Stream games featuring our miniatures.

Please do not imply that unofficial content is endorsed, sponsored, or produced by Michael Kontraros Collectibles unless we have expressly agreed.

Retailers & Distributors

Retailers may use our official product photographs and descriptions solely for the purpose of marketing and selling genuine products obtained directly from us or through an authorized distributor.

No other license is granted.

Limited Editions & Product Availability

From time to time we may produce limited editions, event exclusives, or discontinued products.

We reserve the right to:

  • discontinue any product;
  • modify packaging;
  • update sculpt details where appropriate;
  • change production methods;
  • limit purchase quantities.

Nothing on this website guarantees future availability of any product.

Copyright Enforcement

We actively protect our intellectual property.

Where we become aware of unauthorized copying, recasting, digital reproduction, or commercial infringement, we reserve the right to pursue all remedies available under applicable copyright, trademark, design, and intellectual property laws.

This may include requesting removal of infringing material, suspension of marketplace listings, or legal proceedings where appropriate.
